Somerset was retained to provide a complete erection scheme for the superstructure erection of this single leaf bascule bridge. At a 45-metre span, it is amongst the largest single leaf bascules in the world, and will support separated bicycle and pedestrian pathways, as well as a pathway passing through the centre of the rotating ring girders.
