Edmonton SLRT Bridge

After completion of the I-75/I-595 Florida project, our same client was awarded a precast segmental bridge in Edmonton, AB. Somerset was retained to produce all the erection procedures, crane layouts, purpose-built equipment and pier prop falsework design.
We utilized the 55-tonne capacity lifting frame from Florida, together with specially designed travelling twin C-frames which delivered the segments from the pier to the hook. As a cost saving, Somerset designed an exterior reusable temporary post-tensioning system to secure the segments prior to permanent post tensioning.
